Success and planning requires a whole range of processes. Most importantly it requires review and 'thinking'.
In this week's column, we start with the end outcome we are all striving for: 'success'. How do we define success?
There are six requirements or key elements for Success:
- Peace of Mind
- Good Health & High Energy
- Loving Relationships
- Financial Freedom
- Commitment to Worthy Goals and Ideals
- A feeling of personal fulfilment
Your views may vary from these considered elements. However, they appear to cover all the issues that many business owners and managers consider relevant for success. Your focus in each of these areas may also vary depending on your view as to what makes for success.
Ultimately success must be measured against some predetermined goal or objective. The definition of success involves or assumes the progressive realisation of worthwhile, personal, and predetermined goals.
The dictionary definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. It also includes the attainment of popularity or profit. Synonyms include hit – prosperity – luck – achievement – triumph – speed.
What's your definition of success? How do you feel it should be measured?
