In previous posts, I have commented on the concept of creating an online presence - including using place pages and listing services to advertise your business. However, little comment has been made relating to the biggest online footprint many of us have - emails.
In business today, we send many emails, both relating to personal and professional aspects of our life. However, little attention is paid to the way these emails represent you and your business.
Many emails I receive are often from @bigpond accounts, @gmail, @hotmail, @live, @msn or other variants of Internet Service Providers. However, what many people don't realise is that a personalised email address from your own domain, is actually quite cheap to set-up and easy to use! In addition, it certainly adds a level of professionalism to your email use.
So if you're using a generic email account, consider establishing a domain name and having email accounts set up for your personal/business domain. This is by far, the easiest and best way to promote you and your "brand" online.
