The service offers brokers and agents a 24-hour, seven days a week window for their clients. "While the pharmacy is not identifiable, brokers will be able to market their listing throughout Australia. An added feature of the practice4sale service is the listing of pharmacy equity and partnerships. The site will also soon offer a jobs listing service and a market place," he said.
Access is provided to registered practitioners only through an online subscription, but vendors must use a licensed intermediary to list the practice. The jobs service will be open to all.
To operate the website, a buyer sets search criteria and all matching listings are displayed. If the user finds a prospect, they can email the listing agent and start the negotian process. If they do not find anything appropriate, they can upload a practice 'wanting listing' or ask for a tailored electronic search. Registered brokers will receive a record of the wanted listings.
